Copenhagen Pride 2018

Copenhagen Pride 2018

It’s already been 10 days since this years Copenhagen Pride Parade took place. Some of you may remember that I went to the parade for the first time last year. I wrote a post about my experience back then and I thought it only fitting that I would do the same this year.

This year I went about Copenhagen Pride Week and the parade a little bit differently. One of the main differences being me actually knowing when the week started, so that I could be a bit more prepared for it. And by prepared I mean making plans for the parade more than two days in advance, wearing Pride inspired outfits during the week and painting my nails to look like rainbows. Some might say that the last two things are entirely unnecessary and that being you is enough, whatever you identify (or don’t identify) as, without having to “show it” with certain things. To that I can only say that those words are very true, but since I’m in love with rainbows and what they represent I am gonna wear as many as possible ;P

The outfit

Instead of walking in the actual parade, this year I chose to watch it with the rest of the crowd instead. I was with my mother, my cousin and my best friend and we really enjoyed getting to see all vans drive by and the different groups of people walking with their banners, balloons, costumes etc. It was all very festive, the city was packed with people and the atmosphere was amazing. It put me in such a great mood, so even though my knees hurt and my feet were kinda sore from all the walking we’d done, there was still a smile on my face by the end of it.

If there’s ever a Pride Parade near you I really recommend going. It doesn’t matter whether you’re straight, bisexual, gay, asexual, transgender, confused – you name it – everyone is welcome. It’s a day full of diversity, love and acceptance and I think everyone should get to experience that ❤

Now, all there’s really left to this blog post is to show you the rest of my pictures. Because I took a lot. So many that I even had to post two times in a row on Instagram 😛

I hope you enjoyed reading and seeing my totally professionally taken pictures.
I know it’s been a while but, since school started back up just a little over two weeks ago, I’ve been struggling to motivate myself to do just about anything. To be honest all I want to do half of the time is just lay on my bed and listen to music. But since I’m not on break anymore I can no longer justify it. Goddamnit.

I hope you’re all faring better than I am and if not, we’ll get through it together ❤

Enjoy your last days of August. Byeee!
